“Wh-What? But this is the first time anyone has told me something like that s-so I wouldn’t know…!”
“Hey, now, don’t get all defensive on me.”
So you sparkle a little, what’s wrong with that?” the entire lying about the sparkling thing to being with ‘s pretty wrong, but.

“Sounds like it could be pretty fun, like you’re your own personal nightlight.”
“That…
…
…”
“I’m not sure how I should reply to that…”
“Well, hey, Mr. Sparkle, I wouldn’t know how it works.”

“Shouldn’t you be more on top of that?”
“W-Well I could do well without the compliment…”
“But maybe it would have been better if you were to admit it instead?”
“But there’s nothing to admit. Except, you know, you’ve got a sparkle.”

“Had to lean in preeetty close to see it too. Maybe you should try sparkling a bit brighter.”
you were trying to convince me that you weren’t drunk by grabbing my shoulders, looking deeply into my eyes and saying “i can see your sparkle”
“…What? That wasn’t convincing enough for you?”

“It’s a confirmation and a compliment. Two-fers don’t count or something?”
A wide smile appeared on his face, happy to see the other. Honestly, ever since he left the place, the blonde have been concerned about the other’s well-being. Though Yuri is one that’s very capable of taking care of himself, so what’s there to worry?
“It has, hasn’t it?” Emil waved back as he approached the other. “When we met, that was when I was still in the middle of my journey.”
A pause, “I’m sorry for all the trouble I’ve caused you back then.”
“What trouble?” Yuri chuckled. Over-apologetic as always, he determined. At least, nothing much has changed.
“Honestly, you probably saved my hide. I would’ve been bored outta my mind if you weren’t there to talk to,” he confessed. Emil and his makeshift family certainly did keep his days entertaining. He couldn’t really imagine how he would last that long without them. “Seriously, don’t worry about it.”

Before the blonde could have time to argue back, Yuri quickly swapped topics. “So what’ve you been up to since you got out?”
Aaand here we are, walking out of the General Store. Just a couple of minutes ago, the young swordsman was restocking on Gels and the like before heading off to his next mission that was entrusted to him by the Katz Guild. That is, till he noticed a certain dark hair male walking through the crowd.
There was only one person he could remember with that length of hair that dark. It’s been a long while since the two had spoken to each other, and honestly the blonde missed spending time with him, just like when they were stuck in that place.
“Sorry! Excuse me…! …Coming through!” Emil shouted as he made his way through the crowd, trying to catch up with the other.
Maybe if he weren’t so small, catching up to him wouldn’t be so hard. When Emil believes that he’s finally close enough to where the other might hear him, Emil called out to him, ”Yuri!”
Aaand here’s a certain dark haired male, succumbing to his usually high amount of wanderlust. Making his way through a rather busybody town, he could barely make out the voice of someone calling out to him.
Giving a quick cursory glance over the sea of faces, Yuri couldn’t find anyone he particularly recognized. That is, until he saw that telltale ahoge breaking through the crowd. It sure had been a while, but he’d recognize that blonde kid anywhere after all the time they’d spent together. You know, in the place that won’t be named.

“Oh hey!” He waved, stopping in his tracks so the other to catch up. “It’s been a while.”
